Auto repair shop on Washington Street closing after 26 years

Gas pumps at the Marathon gas station on the corner of Washington Street and Gartner Road have been shut off, and owner Rick Jaracz expects to close up his auto repair shop and snack shop by the end of July…
…While business over the years was “very good,” Jaracz was recently approached with an offer on the property he “couldn’t refuse.” The business owner and mechanic wasn’t looking to sell the parcel, but Metro Commercial Real Estate made him the right offer at the right time.
