Sortly after Anthony Rizzo gloved the final out of the 2016 World Series, Cubs fans began the arduous task of locating championship gear to celebrate their team’s title.

Rally House, 7235 Lake St., in River Forest, kept its doors open late Wednesday night after game 7 for fans seeking championship T-shirts and hats, but the store’s stock quickly sold out the following morning.

“We opened at 7 a.m. Thursday, and it was like a swarm came in,” store manager Julie Maliszewski said. “It all went fast. We’ll be getting more shipments tomorrow and all throughout the weekend.”
