Pete’s Fresh Market is targeting an early September 2022 opening of a store in Tinley Park under tentative plans that would also bring 81,000 square feet of additional retail space to the site of a shuttered Kmart.

The independent chain, which is moving ahead with an aggressive campaign of store openings in the south and southwest suburbs, is also seeking village approval for a permanent warehouse in the Kmart, at the southwest corner of Harlem Avenue and 163rd Street.
