Skokie keeps busy with new economic development proposals

The strip shopping center on the 4800 block of Golf Road across from Westfield Old Orchard’s Nordstrom has had a vacancy for years — and now an additional one since Golf Galaxy recently closed.

The Burlington Coat Factory has already held two job fairs to prepare for its near-future opening, said Skokie Director of Marketing Ann Tennes. The store will be located where Linens ‘n Things used to be.
