Construction of apartment buildings underway at Prairie Centre in St. Charles

Ground has been broken for the construction of the first two residential buildings consisting of 96 luxury apartments at Prairie Centre, a mixed-use development in suburban St. Charles.

Located at Route 38 (Lincoln Highway) and Randall Road on the former St. Charles mall site, Prairie Centre is a $100 million, 27-acre Shodeen development that will include 670 residential units and up to 116,000 square feet of commercial space when complete…

…The construction of Prairie Centre will be done in phases with retail and restaurant build-outs done based on market demand. In addition to the apartment buildings and outlot options, there are six mixed-use buildings with first-floor office, retail and restaurant space with underground and street parking.
